Meli is a groom at Ewalia and an inspiration to us all. Her duties include care and oversight of the horses along with mucking out the boxes and keeping them clean. Melanie has a very cheerful nature. She laughs easily and often, and is always game for some fun. She’s never at a loss for words and often sweetens the stable team’s dull mornings with bits of interesting knowledge. Her method for keeping an eye on each horse individually is to outfit them in different colours. This means that Ewalia’s chestnut horses might at times be clad in a jarring pink or yellow. Meli herself is an M-level dressage rider, proudly representing Ewalia at equestrian shows.
